Bill Hicks is not a household name. His comedy is not the stuff than can be driven to the ground endlessly like the material of many other one-dimensional comics... although it probably should. The ideals, beliefs and worldview he preached were incredibly unique and important, as was he himself, yet they were incredibly simple. His philosophy was simply that we are all one consciousness, and it’s up to everybody to do their part and enhance humanity and enrich the human spirit.
Bill Hicks was born in 1961, and died thirty two years later in 1994. Nothing and no one was spared from Bill’s intelligent, angry and brilliantly funny rants.
Bill was a relentless spokesman for the human race, using comedy as the medium to express to the world his intensely personal experiences and viewpoints, with the noble endeavor of raising the consciousness of us all.
