A few months ago we ran an article entitled Reading, Writing And $elling Out about a high school student suspended for wearing a Pepsi T-shirt during "Coke in Education Day". The "Coke in Education Day" was a contest to see which school (during school time and with your tax dollars) could come up with the best public relations campaign for Coke. For a grand prize of $500, schools conjured up many creative ideas, including lining students up to spell out the word "Coke" and chemistry classes analyzing the sugar content of a typical can of the refreshing soft drink. During a photo shoot, Mike Cameron was suspended from school for wearing a Pepsi shirt, thus 'ruining' the Coke picture.

A few months after our article ran we received this Email:

Dear Mr. Page

Mikes are trouble makers and like to stick there noses where they don't really belong. I know this because I'm a Mike myself. This is Michael Cameron, and I'd like to say, out of all the articles I've read, both on-line and off, this has been by far the best. My friend found it and told me it as the funniest article, so of course I had to cruise in and check it out. So that's it just wanted to drop a line and tell you what I thought of it. Do nice work, keep it up.

Mike "Pepsi Boy" Cameron

After a brief correspondence we thought this would make for an interesting interview and a follow up to our original article. So, we bring you our interview with Mike Cameron.

To get a better sense for the story check out the original article.
